The stairs

I always count 1, 2, 3, 4 landings to the front door. And then an additional 1, 2 landings to the apartment. You do not need diets or pills here to lose weight. The hilly streets on cobblestones and the stairs do it all naturally.

But some days when it is your third or fourth time up and down the stairs and you’re carrying groceries or luggage and you’ve done a lot of walking, you long for an elevator!
